Coils on my 2008 pro XS opti are 8M0042380. I cannot find that coil number anywhere. What am I missing? Searched the net and cannot turn up that number for Mercury Marine coils.

Quit trying to read part numbers on parts- those are NOT Part Numbers (they are Mercury's internal PRODUCTION numbers).
Look the parts up, by serial number, in the Parts Catalog. Available on our website at: www.mercurypartsonline.net
