    Just finished keel guard .....

As stated I just finished installing a keel guard on a new nitro z 20, it all went well except for the fact that I somehow etched it out About 1 to 1 1/2 inches too long up by my eye hook. It is only about 1 in x 6 in but you can definitely see where I scuffed it out with the pad that the kit supplied. Its a black hull so it really shows up. I know it is nothing major but it is literally a brand new boat and I would like to do something about my mistake....

can anybody give me some ideas on what I could do to restore the clearcoat in this small area?
    thx in advance

    light compound/wheel/wax

assuming it's just scuffed and not gouged

Yes it’s just scuffed up. I understand compound and wax, But could you expound on wheel ?

Hard to say without a pic but you can use a 3000 grit compound and a wool pad. If that doesn’t work a little wet sanding may be in order. Again....hard to say without seeing something.
