    Comparison question-Crestliner vs Xpress

Looking for some info. I am looking at either an Xpress boat 18-19 ft or a Crestliner same length. Any info on how one handles compared to another, especially in reference to pleasure boat traffic? Thank you.

Xpress would probably ride better than a mod V crestliner, but not as well as the Crestliner bass hawk.

Xpress would be my vote. I would have bought one but the wife was already complaining about the Tracker cost even though she told me to buy the new boat..

I think I’m either going to go with a PT or an x series. I found a cx19 crestliner I really like but it’s only rated for a 135, looking for something that could at least hold a 150.

The Xpress is a pad boat so in theory it should perform better. Can't remember if any of the Crestliner bass hulls are pad boats. To be completely honest I'd go with the boat you like the layout the best on. Would also see which hull is the least likely to get you wet in rough water. Some hulls are way better at keeping spray off you than others.

I've been looking at both Crestliner and Xpress for my next boat and I thought I was sold on the PT20, but then I see numerous complaints of issues with cracked transoms and cracked welds. That's something you pretty much never hear of with the Xpress. I liked the PT20 for it's huge deck and being able to go with a 200 hp on the back. But, after some more research, I believe I will be going with the Xpress X19 with the 175 SHO. I've decided that 60 mph is more than fast enough and the Xpress definitely has the edge in strength and agility. I also plan to get the Sea Dek, which is another plus.

Ditto. I had a friend in Florida who has passed away now. He had a X-19 with a 200 SHO. I fished from it a good bit. It is the best aluminum boat I have been in. The Vexus may be comparable but I like the thickness of aluminum in the Xpress.

No comparison. The X19 I fished out of for years is a tank and handles like a glass boat.

Same here, you can hang a 200 on the back of an X19 as well.

Pass on the Crestliner for sure. The Xpress is a much better built boat.

How is fishing stability compared to your RT? I'm not 100% sold on my RT now that ranger is undergoing so many changes but I don't want a boat less stable than the RT.
