    Prairie Creek Res

I have a trip there next weekend and have never been. Looking at it on google earth, it looks like I'll be skipping docks/pontoons. I'm curious if there's any grass, bottom composition, gizzard shad, water clarity, flooded brush, offshore brush piles and average size of bass. My plan right now is hit the dam and bridge riprap in the morning and start skipping when the sun gets up. Any lake info is greatly appreciated!

Its my home lake. The lake is mostly hard bottom and is starting to grow some grass beds as of late. It used to be completely barron of weeds, but the last few years it is starting to grow some coontail. Yes there is a million docks on the East side of the lake. Some scattered brush piles here and there. The bass in this lake usually stay shallow for most of the year. There are some deeper places to hit but you can fish shallow most of the time. The lake is semi clear. Visability of about 2-3 feet. It is at normal pool. Plenty of quality bass.

Thank you. I always look forward to hitting new water.

What does it cost to launch at Prairie Creek? Not been there for over 20 years. Is there still a ramp on the east side of the lake?

Yes theres a good population of smallmouth. Mostly fished for down by the damn but can run into them anywhere with the lake being small.
