    Pin in Sux

Yesterday started with a 25 foot downhill putt that went in for birdie. Yeah me!
But payback came on 8 and 9.
10 foot Birdie putt hit the stick dead center and bounced 3 inches out.
Then 20 foot birdie putt hit the stick dead center and bounced 3 inches out!
    Dayum!
If I had pulled the pin I am sure both would have dropped.
So shot 39 and then a 41 to make my least favorite score-80!
Beauty day, teed off at 7:30 done at 10:15.
I need to get more early a.m. rounds in!

I'm with you. The earlier the better. If the course opened up at first light I'd be there.

Pretty sure local rules can address some of the covid requirements for golf including touchless pins. Our course put the local rule in that if it hits the pin, count it as a make. I also thought I saw something yesterday on facebook by the USGA with a similar ruling.

Cost my buddy a hole in one with his new set of irons he bought last week. They put pieces of pool noodle in the hole around the stick here at some courses and it bounced in and out.

I agree, In the last few rounds I have played hitting the stick has kept a few out that I feel would have fell in.

Never have liked putting with pin in, problem on my home course is that some of the cups are worn out and you have pin lean that makes the ball kick out at times.
