I made my way over to Sterling State Park yesterday. Challenging launching the boat by yourself with the water so high.

Started fishing the muddy water and moved east all the way to the Detroit River. I ended up finding bass in both the River and in the muddy water after a long search. It took me to about 11 am to find some groups of them to hook into. The bigger ones came in the dirty water, and the bigger numbers came out of the river. Mayflies were hatching and were in masses on the surface of the lake in certain areas. Few more details and some pics in the link below. I'm pretty sure I know what I would do if I were heading back out there again soon. One other note. Make sure you are aware of the commercial fishing lines that are on the east side of stoney point. They are several of them there and not the easy to see when there is some wave action.
