Found out today my Dad has COVID. 75 years old. He has had a Stroke and a heart attack 2 years ago, but he is still a very strong man.
Has been running fever since Friday. Started his COVID meds today.
He's hard headed. I'm having to stay on him to take his meds and drink fluids.
Please keep him and my mother in your thoughts and prayers. She has been caring for him. No mask. I got on to her today. Them old people don't listen.
My Mother, sister, and my nephew will all be tested tomorrow.Will update.

Update: Dad has been trending lower on his O2 saturation. He was put on a ventilator today. A feeding tube was added which is good as he has only ate once in the last 5 days. He is sedated but doing well. His O2 level is steady at 95 percent. I was added as the main contact as my mother has not been able to handle the daily updates. She also has severe STML and would not remember what the nurse told her. Please keep her in your prayers. She is not handling not being with him very well.

Update on Dad: 06/30/2020
They currently have him in a medically induced coma. He is on the ventilator and additional oxygen. He has Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). This is complicating quicker recovery of his lungs. All his vitals are good and blood pressure perfect. He was requiring 90 percent oxygen to maintain a saturation above 89 percent. He is now requiring 60 percent. A decrease of 30. So he is trending in a positive way. Doctor is optimistic, but he has a long road ahead and of course is still critical.

Update:
After fighting COVID and ARDS for weeks my Dad passed away today.
Keep my mother in your prayers as this has been hard on her. Hardest part of this virus is Her not being next to him thru all of this.
He is now with the Lord and that gives us peace.
