    Rodman still sucks

I was shocked at the amount of Hydrilla! I do not know what the drawdown did but the Hydrilla is thick in many places (which I thought would be amazing). The gar and mudfish are thick across the board. Talked with a few father-times and they caught one bass each. Beautiful day, light wind, water temp 75-82, clouds, sun,etc.... Bass should have been more aggressive. I said it in my St. Johns post several weeks ago, something is not right in NE Florida bass fishing.

    Jason,
I have had pretty good spring/early summer there. I wont fish it when it is perfect weather, but between and after rain/fronts the bite has been great. Lots of grass and I have lost count of the shad spawns I've seen...

I hated that place all 3 times i drove down to try it. Hydrilla so think it pretty much stopped my motor. Only caught 2 bass in 7 total days on that place. I never did figure it out at all. Been years ago tho.

I concur! Been working way too hard for very few bites.

Fished it 10x for maybe 4 bass...BUT...changed tactics after May 2020...
9.23, 7.41 and 6.96 so have a whole new attitude...ditched my aggressive approach...I fish for 2 bites with a smile...never caught over 3 a day but a Trophy catch and big bass/1st place in a small club rings my bells...wished I would have changed tactics a year or 2 ago...
