    Thoughts on 721 Prop

Curious what prop has been working on the 721s with the new merc 4s. Looks like most run the 24 fury but I am curious about a 25 furys numbers on this boat. I have a worked 26 tempest that I am told will be close to a 25p fury in rpms. Question is... Is there any gain with this boat set up with a fury 25 over the tempest 26? Or any gain at all in going higher than the 24? I know Phoenix has no issues with lift and my tempest has cup added and has been blue printed. Boat is not here yet just curious of others findings. Will have a 12" atlas on it with poles.
    Thanks!

I’m running a 721 with blades and a stock 10” manual jp. Best speeds I’ve seen with the 24p fury is 77 at 5950 in 95° weather. I have a 25 tempest I need to have worked and see how it does. I don’t think going to a 25 in the fury will be beneficial since most of these newer motors are coming with 23p fury’s.

Phoenix says the 24 is the best and that is what I have seen on most all the new 4s mercs on the phoenix boats. I would hate to know you gotta spin a 23 on a 250.

You need to get the RPMs up to 6100+ to get the full power out of the 4S. Mine came with a 24P Fury and turned 5900 @ 74. Dealer then told me it needed at 23 and got 6100 - 6200 and 74.5. I put a 24P Temp+ on it so I could raise the JP some and turning 6150 @ 76 with poles, Ultrex, 3/4 tank of fuel

sounds like a need to trade a worked tempest i have for a good 24p temp. I know the tempest ran out the best on my old 201. Damn 79 with a 250 HPDI with a banged up prop at 6k

My numbers are similar to Archer. I run a 24 Fury with dual blades, ultrex, and 10" hydraulic plate, and moderate load. With two people, 3/4 tank of gas, livewells half full I can run 77 @ 6k RPMs. That is on the analog gauge. I have noticed my boat runs better with more weight in the back. All plastics stay in the back, I keep my livewells half to 3/4 full, and keep the fuel level above 1/2 tank. I'd love to have SmartCraft just to see the acutal RPM numbers because I know analog can be wrong

Do you think you could post your pad to prop measurements.
I'm going to try and get my boat dialed in this weekend and
I would like to start with your dimensions as my starting point.
Your speeds with a manual Z-lock jack plate are some of the better speeds I have seen posted.

Is that a stock tempest or worked? I assume that rpm and speed is with just you in it?
