    2016 Chevy Duramax Fuel Filter

I have a 2016 Duramax with roughly 45,000 miles on it. Here recently I have been having problems with my fuel filter. First the message came across my dash saying fuel filter needs changed. Fine. I go to dealer and have filter changed. Been about 800 miles since filter was changed and I get another message that says filter needs changed. What says bbc nation on the problem. I normally get fuel from same station. No modifications to truck. No tuners. Truck is all stock.

First thought is they didn't reset the message. I would think it would have came on before 800 miles though.

You can reset it your self.

Ive been changing mine every 10-12,000 miles.Dealer wants way to much to do and its a very simple task. Was told injectors will be happier if you change often.

Only think I can think of it it wasn't reset to 100%. They put that filter in a horrible location for easy access.

Check for DTC's. If a code is setting but not turning on check engine light it will cause fuel filter service message when it actually does not need replacing
