I have a group of 8 guy and we are scheduled to go to Canada in late August but with the border situation and trying to get passports renewed I am afraid that our trip may be in jeopardy. So I,m looking for some place that has the lodging and also supplies boats. Smallmouth and Walleye are the species we like to target. I appreciate any recommendations you guys have.
Not sure on actual resorts, but for walleye and smallies, I would research resorts on Vermillion near Tower, MN
You could check with Woody's on Rainy or Neslson's Resort on Crane Lake. Crane Lake is a border lake like Rainy and is connected to Sand Point Lake, Namakan Lake and Kabetogama. They are great lakes even with the border closed. Although having the border open makes it easier.
Kabetegoma has some nice resorts too.
