Need some help in Clearwarter area please

I have a good friend that is looking to get into fishing in the Area of Clearwarter mostly saltwater. It looks to me that Rt60 Courtney Campbell is a good place to start... looking for suggestions on tackle and what species of fish are in that area. Also looking for a good tackle shop in that area. Thank you in advance for the information

Tell him to fish the passes at night for Snook. Johns Pass and others are good.

I was just down there in the spring and just about any bridge or pier piling had sheepshead on them. Not the biggest fish out there but man do they fight and are fun to catch. Live shrimp on a dropper rig right on the pilings got the job done for me. Lots of fun. Caught some speckled trout that way as well.

This is all you'll need. It's more geared to SWF but really no different than Clearwater. Anything and everything related to fishing in Fla can be found.
