    Boat/Motor Tags

3rd year for 2018 Skeeter ZX250 Yamaha SHO.
Tags for each was $151 for each!
How can those be taxed exactly the same???
Maybe I wasn’t paying attention before.
Gal at agency had no clue.
    Does anyone here?

My 2017 Phoenix with a 225 SHO on it was 151 for motor and 151 for the boat. Lady said you want 1 or 3 year, I asked if they would take a kidney for the 3 year. May I love living in this state but I hate how expensive everything is on tag, title and license. Texas isnt like that. I think the 3 year would have saved me 80 bucks only, so in this economy saving 80 bucks today but shelling out 800 today didnt make sense.

    Thanks

$151 is not as bad as it used to be ,
in Texas didn't you pay like 10% tax when you bought the boat?.

I’ll have to look, but mine were not the same but they were terribly expensive nevertheless.

88 for my boat and 61 for the motor. 2008 model. The 3 year is a joke. Not enough of a savings to bother in my opinion. Besides, if I decide to sell my boat this year, I just paid the tag for 2 more years for the future owner.
