    Buffalo River Trafficjam!

Fished the King’s River yesterday and got a late start today to float the Buffalo near Jasper.
50 kayaks and canoes at takeoff altogether. Couldn’t pass, and had to hope no one got out of their lane.
Like a LA freeway without the lanes marked.
Eventually spread out but glad we weren’t trying to to fish it.
Cars everywhere at takeoff and takeout.
Grandkids had fun but I sure to miss the good ol days prekayak.
Saw plenty of canoe wrecks but nobody got hurt.
And I will say the crowd was pretty well behaved with no outrageous rude behavior.
    Family friendly.

Since it reopen I've seen a ton of kayaks heading down 7 to Jasper or Ponca.

Same activity on Lake Ouachita. The last 3 weekends have been worse than prior year's holiday weekends. I get in early to fish and when I go to leave around noon or so, the ramps are packed and trucks/trailers all out in overflow or parked up the road side. The Ranger's at the State Park were turning people away on Saturday due to no more parking. Echo Canyon had trucks/trailers parking in the spillway area.
