    Implications of a bad compressor on a 1992 merc 150?

    Looking at a 1992 Ranger 482vs with a merc 150 that is said to have a bad compressor. Wondering what the implications of this are. Also, it has a different trailer, it’s a 2006 that looks to be a little short for the boat. Otherwise boat appears to be in good shape from pics.

    Any info/experience appreciated!

    What year is the Merc?I didn't think the Optimax came out until 1996, a 1992 shouldn't have a compressor. If it is an Optimax with a bad compressor your looking at replacing it and having the fuel system, hoses fuel rails and injectors, cleaned of all metallic particles. On the trailer we would need to see pictures to make a judgement on that.
