I have to handle a gun before I buy it. If i have never fired or held the gun intend to purchase I buy local
If I have handled one and fired an identical model I have no issues ordering online

Word of caution on Palmetto State Armory, their customer service is horrific if you buy anything other than a complete firearm from them. I've ordered parts from them a few times and it has always turned into a massive pain. Most recent order, the BCG I got didn't have the gas key properly staked. What should've been a simple swap turned into a 2-3 month battle and getting the rep on Arfcom involved to eventually get my money back because I couldn't get through on the phone or get any kind of email response. Should've just kept it and had it staked, but never dreamed it would be that difficult to just swap it out. Oh well. Having said that, the folks I know that have ordered complete firearms from them have never had an issue, but others that have ordered parts have had similar experiences to mine. Primary Arms and AIM Surplus are really good to deal with. I've ordered from both multiple times and their CS is great if you do have any issues. If you're going after anything AR related, good luck finding stuff in stock. Running into that now looking at uppers to finish my pistol. Should've done it before now, but that's what I get for putting it off.
Edit - Forgot to list Brownells too. They're a pretty solid source.

These are both great places! I just visited Palmetto Armory in Summerville, SC last week and was blown away by the selection of guns and gun parts. They had a huge selection of uppers, lowers, barrels, BCG’s and lower parts kits. I could have built a complete AR in the store. They also have a great fishing section.

Thanks for all the great information. I have only been in Rural King for $9.99 work pants, and wasn't thinking about there. Haven't even walked around in there. Grabbed pants near the door, and headed to the register. Will have to take a look. There a store on the north end of the city north of me.
Thanks for all the helpful information all!
If RK doesn't have it they can in a few days.
I've got a couple of local pawn shops that order guns and have really good prices. Academy has good sales from time to time.

Lowrance HDS 7" & 9" - Twin Talon 12' Anchors
I believe in supporting my nearest independent retailer, as they provide a lot of services at no cost, and are able and willing to help me with any problems I might have.
Around here Academy has the best selection since Cabelas closed.

Down here you can just about arm a swat team from the local flea market.
I get mine from Earl, down on 13th street. That way the govt doesn't know what I have

Gunbroker is good to go
Nope.
.
No because by the time I pay to have the gun shipped to a dealer I can by it from a local dealer for the same price
A mistake on your part does not constitute a emergency on my part.
