Hi All - I am new to the bass boat world and found a few rangers that fit around my price list. I am looking for reviews to help me on my decision. I found a 1999 519dvs with 98 225 merc,pro max 101, 858 DI, 997 SI for $14500. The other is a 96 392xt with 05 200 merc, ultrex, 2 helix 10 SI and DI for $10000.00. Any help would be greatly appreciated
The 98 Merc on the 519 would be my issue with that boat. I believe those are the opti-pop years. I owned a 392 and they are straight up an amzing fishing platform. Super stable boat that does everything well. The ride in the 519 will be better than the 392 but the 05 Merc is a better choice over the 98 plus the speeds are going to be the same betweent the two boats. I love the 500 series boats and if the 519 you are looking at had a newer engine, than it would get the nod but my choice out of those two is the 392.

I had a 99 svs with a 225 efi. It was a great combo! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. Great Ranger IMO
