Compressor lower outlet check valve leak

    2011 merc pro xs 150
So I had a 90 check valve fitting on compressor seeping at the threads and neck. Assuming solder/brazing is cracked. I’m gonna replace both since I will be in the area. I consulted with a member and he said that’s what oils the mains. Two lower fittings behind the coil bracket. Joe recommended I prime the oil system after the swap which I agree with. Unfortunately no way to get the boat into a service shop for the next month. Is priming the system a necessity after changing these fittings? Obviously I want to do it right and not jeopardize anything.

Yes, oil pump prime is REQUIRED, and should be done with the Computer Diagnostic System.
