How good are you at guessing the weight of a fish in a picture?

Not good. My rule of thumb is to take the stated weight and divide by 3.

Off by 2.3 lbs avg. Missed the first one by 0.1 then it went downhill.

1.48 average off. Should have been better but guessed light on a couple as I thought they were trying to trick on the size by picture.
I am definitely better at judging size in person.

Was really hoping this one would show up, so we could know it's true weight.

I was 2.5 pound off on average. Way under on everything. Would’ve done much better with my usual smallmouth between 2 and 3.5 haha

I was way off! I knew I was bad at estimating weight and this confirmed it. Off by just over 3. I guess we don’t see them that big up here?
