    4 blade Prop recommendation trx189

So we started tubing with the bass boat. The kids decided they wanna tube now and i need a better prop.

boat is a triton trx 189 with a mercury 150 four stroke.

my normal prop i run is a 21 tempest plus. I generally run about 53-55 mph at 5850-6000 rpm depending on temperature and load. I have run a 23 tempest plus 61 mph lightly loaded at 5850 rpm in cool weather before, but I rarely run it.

we had 4 grown adults including 2 over 200 pounds plus 1 kid this weekend on the boat. Plus 2 full ice chests, full fishing gear, and full livewells. The 21 tempest had a hard time getting on plane. Then we put 3 people on the tube and started pulling them. The boat would get up to 10-13 mph fairly well, but I had to hold full throttle a long time to get up on plane. Made it rather hard to throw the teenagers off the tube lol.

i have been wanting a 4 blade prop to help jump on plane anyway especially when fishing shallow areas anyway and could use it as a general purpose prop for heavy loads and pulling the kids.

i have looked at the rubex l4, rubex hr4, trophy plus, and bravo 1 fs. What would y’all recommend from the list or any others I should look at? I’ve been looking around the 19-20 pitch area. But I’m unsure which ones run stiff, smaller on pitch, or if I should go to maybe even an 18p.

any recommendations would help. I generally run with a hundred pounds of tackle, a dozen or so rods, a 15 pound anchor, and somewhere around a half tank of fuel.

I would get a 20P Bravo1 FS or a 19P Rev4... Try and test one before you buy. Dial in the PVS venting.

I'm a big fan of the Rev 4. I run a Rev 4 17P on my Ranger 1880 MS with teh 200 Verado L4. I'm a bit high at 6500RPM but holeshot and response is amazing. I've been watching for a 19p rev 4 to try.
