    I'm not from south florida but fish it most of the time and find 50 is just fine. I use 30# for most worm applications but punching. Braid can break from shock on a hard hookset but I've not experience that with a frog. Have with a worm and 30#

    I run 50# braid on almost everything and no issues. I used to use 60 and 65# all the time, but found I didn’t really need it. 50# also cast a little easier and farther without sacrificing strength. It is 50# after all.

    Broke off 50 too many times .Been using 65 for frogs,buzzbaits and flipping for years.

    I currently use 30# braid for everything. I've never had issues but I might have to give 50# braid a try for my frog rod.

    65# on all of my frog rods and flippin sticks for going into the jungles! Jigs in more open cover will get the 50#, and a particular dock rod will have either 30 or 40#, can't remember what's on there now. LOL

    I like 80 if long cast are not necessary. Seems to skip better
