They Picked The Wrong Store To Rob

Philadelphia has been struck by the same violence as other major cities.

    https://www.inquirer.com/news/philad...-20200602.html

I'm quite familiar with this store as they were one of my good customers over the years that I was in the sporting goods business. He spent his whole life building this business so you can't blame him for protecting it.

The sign clearly states they were heading toward the Firing Line. I guess reading comprehension really is important.

Good for him and hopefully he doesn't let his guard down afterwards to fend off any possible retaliations.

Unfortunately we will probably see more of that. I'm glad it worked out for the owner. I know I'd be on hand if it ever got to that point at our company. Luckily we're located in a hick town, but we are 15 miles from the state capitol.

I dislike how the article said "he took matters into his own hand" as if he had any other option at that point. How about "he acted to defend himself".

Glad the man emerged uninjured and kept a lot of stolen guns of the street and out of the hands of thugs.

It's a shame that he didn't have all four of them stacked up.

Or how they just had to point out that the owner used a Bushmaster "M4" and didn't mention what type of gun the perpetrator had OR if it was legal/stolen.

The absolute delight that some are showing over the death of a human being is absolutely disgusting. Yes, I am glad that the store owner was able to defend himself, and that he was not hurt, but to revel in the result of that defense, which was the loss of a life, and to lament that there weren’t three more bodies to go with the one, is revolting. All lives matter, indeed, though the folks who are quickest to shout that when reminded that back lives matter seem to not actually believe it.

How would you feel if it was your parents store? And they were the ones threatened? The guy deserved what he got.

If it was my parents’ store I would be happy that they were okay, and sad that someone is dead, just the same as I feel reading this story.
