2020 Mercury 250 4stroke needs new lower unit.. question.

    Serial # 2B745077

Hey guys I have a new 2020 250 4 stroke with 2.4 hours on the motor. I noticed after initial break in,
oil was draining out of the lower unit nose cone. Took it to my dealer and they said lower unit is bad. They ordered a new lower unit. They said they couldn’t find were the leak is coming from inside the lower unit. My question is did this affect engine break in at all? Or other parts of the engine? I’m assuming no because the rings should still be seated.. just curious on thoughts. Thank you

Should have no bearing on your engine break-in... continue with break-in per Engine Owner's Manual (or post in the FAQ Section).
