I have a damaged 18” scrape thru the gel coat and deep into fiberglass that I want to reglass. It’s been weeping moisture for over a week so I’m not sure if was absorbing water or weeping internal water. I drilled a small hole into the wettest part to see if there was accumulated water above. No extra came out. In drilling I noticed there is a void above the fiberglass because the bit hit an open space, moved maybe 2 mm. And stopped on something solid. This damage is directly in thE center Bottom of the v hull. I’m wondering what this void space might be before I begin repairs. I can’t find any info about the hull construction anywhere on the Sprint 267 boats. Anyone know how these were constructed? Thank you.
