Maybe 60, it really needs a 200 to run right.
9/10 Rakers need work before they run, send it to Josh at Steves on fork and get some love put on it.

thanks for response. I'm working on getting more horses to push it but I have to work with the 150 for now.
Do you think with the correct prop I'd get a little more out of it or is the 53 mph going to be it. Also, do the
numbers posted sound about right ? trying to make sure the engine height is right etc.

    There’s always more.
    It’s just money.
Get your prop worked, set motor height correct and that’ll be about it. If you’re gonna put a deuce on it then I would not waste time and effort on that 150.

It may be awhile on the 200. what motor height is a good starting point to work from.

You see a lot of well meaning advice given on where to set your motor. I'll tell you the cold hard fact, nobody knows. Every boat/prop/load is different, and you need to find out what works best on your rig. That means a hour or two on the lake and finding out what too high and what too low is, that's how you find just right.

Too low: flat roostertail, numb steering, rpms not up to where they should be, speed not what you expect.
Too high: higher than cowling tail, boat runs flat, no lift, really stiff steering at full power/trim, water pressure too low.

Usually start with what I believe too low is, and move up 1/4" at a time until I lose lift/speed/water pressure, then back a quarter and I've found just right. That's how it's done right.
