Ultrex issue

The ultrex on my sons boat keeps breaking the
plastic bushings on the base swivel pin
before I replace them for the 3rd time
has anyone had a similar issue and solution

You may need to replace the pivots at the same time as replacing the bushings. Also replace the smaller bushings on the pin and set screws that go into the pivots. Make sure the pivots have not "wallered" the hole in the upper arm where the pivot bushings go. Then when mounting on the boat, make sure the arm comes down centered in the base and not to one side.

Can't really answer for John. However he sold the business due to health issues but still helps out as much as he can on here. He spent a lot of time with the new owners and they are great people. They got me going very quick last week and I bet they will do the same for you.
