Hero 8 Black, NO gps data

Second camera and still no gps data will show up in the stickers on the gopro quck desktop app. This seems to be a software issue from the hundreds of threads I have read. Has anyone used a 3rd party software to get this to work? GP tech support is horrible.

I get the same thing on my 7. You have to make sure it is locked on satellites before you start recording. Make sure the teardrop in the upper left is lite up. I always forget to check that.

I use telemetry overlay but I have also used gps quickfix. Both work great.
