Which 10” Garmins to Buy?
I am going to outfit my boat with two 10” Garmins - one at console and one at bow with livescope on poleducer. Equal amount of bass, crappie, and bream fishing. Which models would you get? Dont really want to go touch screen. Mostly fish shallow and weedy water. Mapping not all that important. What transducer for the back? Would you put a transducer on the terrova for the front unit when not running livescope or run the front unit off the back transducer? Thanks.

10" non touch screen then the only option would be the 1042xsv.

Personally, i like to see what below me up front so i'd put a ducer on the troller.
Apparently, for the troller, you would need some type of cable guard if you do mount a ducer to it unless you have your own way.

Does your TM have a universal 2D transducer? Pretty sure you can get a Garmin adapter. If not, I would mount my DI/SI or 2D transducer to the same pole as my Livescope ducer.
Check out some of these photos from Fishing Specialties: https://fishingspecialties.com/customer-photos
I use my SI/DI on the stern for searching, then bow electronics to zero in. However if you’re using your TM to search for structure/beds/etc, I could see how SI/DI would be beneficial up front.

The Terrova will be the Riptide model. The Riptide series has no built in transducer
