24 fury test from 25fury on cx20 pro

24 did do better for hole shot, bow lift was not as bad as 25 fury. Mid range was good. Top end good. Ill try the Tempest plus next in 24 and 25.

74 to 76 1/2 tank, 2 people, gear. claim water, 76 degrees. with ghost trolling motor. mercury motor. The 25 ran a bit faster with just me, 1/2 tank, running with current on ky lake.

Billproxs I have been stalking your prop posts for a bit now, have you found the prop you like best for hull shot and handling, I know you are wanting more top end but I am more novice then you and want that handling to be smoother when I get my Caymas this fall. Thanks in advance, also if you had any advice as to set up and what to get or not as I am about to order mine soon. Thanks again

I ran a lot of props testing all year. The 24 fury is the best all around for my set up. The 23 fury is also great. It had just a slight bit better hole shot, top end was only 1mph less than the 24 fury. Thats with standard jackplate. I also do like a good handling boat over speed. My boat handles very well out of hole to 30mph. No lean at all, causing of moving over my 3rd wet cell trolling battery to cranking side. Huge difference. On up to 60mph boat handles really well in all condition, any loaded conditions also.
Advise. Get hydraulic plate, dont get pro package, not worth the extra$5000. Id try to get the motor pack and smart craft gauge or the NMEA system to read it on your units.

24 Tempest likely underpropped.. More comparable to 23 Fury. Curious how that 25 Tempest works for you.

24 tempest had less boat control for me. The 25 was a dog on mine in all conditions

Thank you, yeah already decided to go hydraulic plate and to run the guages through my units, that gauge may be nice (I've seen opinions both ways on it) but I do not like where it is on the console for ease of viewing. Appreciate the feedback, I'll check out that 24 fury.

You ever get your boat Kyle? Just wondered how your props worked out.
