So, Motorguide actually responded to my question on their Facebook page. Here it is:
MotorGuideHi Paul - we are scheduled to ship to retailers August 3rd. Thank you for your patience!
Unless I made a mistake...... Bass Pro website now doesn't even show the Tour pro on website.

1990 374V Ranger Still kickin' bass after all these years
2 weeks, for the last 9 months
You have a great point, partially. The problem I have is they deceive us by telling us it has been in developed for many years, we see it on videos with all the fancy things the motors can do.
You spend thousands for it or wait all spring in summer anxiously waiting to get it. You get it, most advertised functions aren't available yet or even parts to complete all advertised functions.
It finally arrives, install it, cant use it to it's full advertised capability, soon they have updates for the motors which have which have been in development for years which means we are now the test dummies for there product. That is my issue, I don't want to see advertised products on I-Cast showing a product early in the year that we can't use yet and wont be available until later in the season. That is false advertising and soon you loose trust in these companies.
I finally gave up on a Motor Guide tour pour and went with a lowrance ghost .VERY nice trolling motor spot lock is dead nuts on after I Calibrated And that was very easy to do . Very quite ! Steering is smooth and Responsive . I just put on this past Friday . Fished Saturday and Sunday with it and no complaints.
I'm going to wait. My current one is good enough to get me by. Only missing spot-lock.
probly thought that if they kept saying two weeks to ship folks would wait most have figured out that nobody really knows when they will ship to the buying public.
I got a email today from motorguide saying my AUG 7th ship date was still on schedule..... we’ll see folks!
There was a MG Tour and a Tour Pro on display last week at the BPS in Shreveport. The salesman told me they had 2 each Tour Pro 24v - 45” shaft, and 2-3 Tour models in 24v and 36v. I’m waiting a while until they work the bugs out of all new offerings.
