96 221 DCX Jack Plate Question

I have had this boat for 3 years now and need to upgrade or sell it. Currently have a 6" Rite Hite with a 96 Mariner 225 EFI (stock as far as I know) and 8' power pole blades. Boat runs 56-58 fully loaded with a stock 25 trophy plus. What is the recommended set back for this rig? I am looking at a rapid jack or z lock currently, or is it worthwhile to go hydraulic. Thanks!

    I have a 1996 221 Elite with 1996 Mercury 225 EFI.I have a 8" Rapid Jack and a 25P Tempest Plus Balanced & Blueprinted prop from Steve's Custom Props.The prop shaft is 3.5" below pad. It will run 67-68 mph and on a perfect day,I can get a little over 70-72 mph.I don't have power poles .

6-8 inch Rapid Jack. Ditch the Rite Hite before it kills you.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure whether to go with a 6" or 8". I know I need to get rid of the rite hite. Power poles add another .5".
