    2020 RT188P Prop

Anyone get a Stainless from factory? Mine came with a 23 Tempest for the 115 ProXS CT 4S. Seems like quite high Pitch for the boat but I haven’t had a chance to put it in the water yet so wanting to see if anyone else has the same setup.

Different gears in the CT lower unit allow the motor to turn the 23 Tempist.

Late to the game on this one. You should have gotten a Tempest 21P. It is my understand that the Tempest 21P was suppose to come on the 115 CT factory from Ranger. Mine did on my 2019 RT188

Mines the pad hull version and I believe another guy on here has one and it also came with the same prop (23P Tempest). I’ve been so busy with work and everything else that I still haven’t found the time to mount my electronics and get it out on the water. Hopefully this weekend I’ll have time to go break it in and run it. So I’m hoping it is in fact the right prop after I load it down with gear and gas and run it.

Light load I hit 52mph @ 6100 rpm. Heavy load I was lucky to see 45 mph with rpm below 5400. Considering a 23P Trophy 4 blade for heavy loads.

After adding the dual sportsman 2 poles and a heavy load with empty livewell, I ran 49 mph @ 5960rpm per vessel view mobile.

I also found out when the dealer installed my hydraulic jackplate they were supposed to drop my motor down to the 2nd Mounting holes. I will be getting that done next week. I doubt I gain any top speed but it should handle better. Was porpoising pretty bad with hardly any trim in some mild chop/boat traffic wake over the weekend so I questioned Ranger on it.

Did you ever figure out a good prop for your boat?

I’ve honestly not had much time to fish so haven’t got back into tweaking with performance. The 23P is pretty good overall tho. I just load it down heavy and would like better holeshot and handling so I’ll revisit the issue hopefully by fall.

My 115 Pro XS CT came with a Tempest 24p. I thought it was way to big but it's what the dealer Anglers Choice put on the boat. Believe swindle was running a 22P in his Tin Rig video.

Cool. Mine came with a 24p. Definitely too steep. Only getting about 5400rpm @50 w/ a half a tank of gas and full of gear. Happy with the top end but not the holeshot.
I tried a Turning Point mach 3 21p and with a full tank of gas was at 6200 @48. Much better holeshot. Not sure how much the 70# of fuel made a difference in top end. I'll have to burn some this week.

What trolling motors are y'all running? Jackplate? Will it get up on the Pad?

I’m having a porpoising issue at mid rpm’s, I’m running a 6 inch manual jackplate set perfectly also a 23 tempest with cup, was wondering how the 4 blade helped out with others that tried one
