Stripping clear coat without damaging gel coat

I have already searched the threads and couldn’t find anything useful. Klean Strip used to make a product called Auto Strip that would work but they don’t make it anymore. I have tried the Citristrip Paint and Varnish Stripper spray but it didn’t budge it at all. Open to suggestions! I want to try Busch clear coat stripper but I’m worried it may also damage the gel coat. This is part of a larger project to restore my gel coat but I have to get the nasty flaked old clear coat off first.

80grit on da , wiper with all prep , load gun with fresh clear and flake of your color choice , spray , topcoat clear , wet sand buff and done. The mess you have on your hands now will just frustrate you and you won’t be satisfied with the results. Just shoot fresh and be done with it.
