    05 TR21 XD Jackplate

I have a 2005 TR21 XD with a Merc 250XS on a manual jackplate. I am looking to get a hydraulic jackplate to help with shallow water take off as well as top end. Currently with the long shaft motor I need between 6-7' of clearance before blast off. Problem is the lake i normally fish is only 6-8' in its lower basin and full of weeds. What size hydraulic jackplate would be best suited for this boat? I have done some research and been 8 to 10" plates. I am looking at a Bob's but Atlas inst out of the question. I am running a tempest plus 25P prop but that obviously can be adjusted.

. I am open to all suggestions.

I wouldn’t worry about the prop until you can get your PTP in a normal operating range.
