    Question about a purchase

    Hey everyone,


    I’m new to bass boats but been fishing with the poor from the bank all my life. (Just kidden)
    I’m considering purchasing a 2004 Stratos 201 pro xl with a Yamaha hpdi 250.
    The boat is super clean but unknown miles and compression is 85/95 on 5 and 6 cylinder. It’s runs good with no issues. Should I steer away or is there anything I can check to confirm no issues will arise?

    95 ok 85 getting down there a decarb might bring them all up? first or second series hdpi?

    As mentioned a decarb might resolve the compression. I would do a leak down test. I have a 2005 201 prox xl and the Ox66 250. The Hdpi did have a revision for a series 2 oil pump. Ask seller when the fuel filters were replaced on the motor, Vst filter and the 5 secret mystery filters. You can pull the hours on the HDPI with a computer and cable. I love the ride of my 201, fast, great handling and nicely laid out front storage boxes. What is the color of the boat, any damages to the hull or anything, Shape of the carpet??
