    Patoka Lake Bedding Fish????

Was at the lake this past weekend and fishing in the backs of the creeks and flats. Seen a ton of fish like they were bedding. Caught a few nice ones in those location and on the last points before the flat. I was dragging a 1/8oz Shakey Head with Junebug worm. Curious if this is normal spawn for Patoka or late spawn with water conditions being low and cooler for most of year. Or, was something else going on having the bass roam the flats. Maybe feeding on gill?

Everytime the spawn was starting, there was a huge cold front that would lower water temps drastically. All the lakes are having a very spread out spawn as some have been on beds for last 3 months.

I saw bass spawning last weekend too. I believe this is the last wave, since the shad are also spawning.

I've seen bass on beds up here since early april. Saw a couple the other day as well. Been a weird year. Crappie spawn has been pretty spread out as well.

I was in South Lick Fork and the area I was at seemed loaded but they were very locked jaw. I figured the last of the spawn would be this coming full moon on 6/6. I also thought that I was catching some moving out since they were on the secondary points. Just a very slow day of catching but was still a good morning. Glad that I was not the only one seeing them on beds.
