No 360, unit keeps looking for it on Helix 12 Gen3

Need a little help please. Tried searching but could not find remedy.

Have Helix 12 DI on bow and unit keeps looking for 360 which I've never had. Been running the unit since November and never had this issue. Yesterday while fishing about every 20 minutes it would say 360 source not found and my preset would not work. I would go to sonar menu and select forget 360 and everything worked for another 20 or so minutes and then it would do it again.

My set up is 2 Helix 12 SI G3 on Console and Helix 12 DI G3 and Garmin 102 with livesight on bow. All of the electronics are wired directly to dual house batteries with fuse boxes and breaker.

Any suggestions would be appriciated

My Helix does this whenever it gets a mind to do it. I’ve tried restoring defaults and that does nothing to help. Just have to forget 360 on all the units each time.

They say misery loves company but I don't subscribe to that way of thinking. Sorry you're having an issue as well, hope both of us can get an answer for this!

What software version are your units running?

same as 201 pro, 2.180. Went out for 3 hours today and no issues

When I had the software 2.180 on my Helix 9 MSI G3N and my Helix 9 MDI G3N and do not have a Mega 360 installed, I had the same issue. Since I am not planning on buying a Mega 360 at this time, I went back to software version 2.110. Never had the issue with units looking for 360 again. I don't know if the software version 2.180 is causing the issue because it is an upgrade to use Mega 360 or not. Asked Humminbird techs that question and they couldn't give me an answer.

Thanks for the info, if it keeps acting up I will revert back to the 2.110

You downdate the same way as you update.

You get the older software by contacting Humminbird or post your exact model name and someone on this site that has it can send it to you.

Need the entire unit model names. There are 7", 8", 9", 10" and 12" G3N units

PM sent with the Helix 10 DI+ G3N 2.110 software. I don't have a Helix 10 SI unit.

My second unit does the same thing that is set up to run only 2D and down imaging and keeps switching to 360 on both units on my bow.
Hummingbird Support told me it’s a software issue and they will be coming out with an update to resolve it. For the time being I have taken my M360 off the networking cable...it’s a bandaid fix for now.

I do have M360 and run 2 Helix units on the bow.
