    Low Oil on Smartcraft Gauges

Have a 2018 BassCat Cougar FTD with a 250 ProXS. Oil tank is half full and keep getting low oil on gauges. Dealer says its a 3 gallon but when we put a gallon jug in it fill it up. Leads me to believe this is a 2 gallon oil tank not a 3 and wonder if this was calibrated wrong on the gauges and this would cause it to flash low oil. If so is there a was to adjust tank size on gauges? Anyone else have these issues? Thanks,

How did you determine the low oil condition was from the remote tank vs engine reservoir? Are there any wires attached to the remote tank cap with oil hoses? If not, you don't have the optional remote tank float assembly and fuel, oil, paddle harness and cannot see remote tank level. Remove the cowl and check engine reservoir, must be full to the top with no air present at all, if it is not full to top, see the bleeding procedure linked below.

FYI - Your engine is covered in the 3L forum.
