Need a new gas pressure washer

I'm looking at two different machines of the same brand, one's 2700 psi and 2.3 gpm at $329 the other is 3100 psi and 2.5 gpm at $399,both have a honda engine and AR pump, would the 3100 psi be worth the extra $70? Will be using it here at the house.

either will be more than adequate for home use........ use the $70 for something else

Don't ask me, I got a 14hp with a triplex cat pump for home use. The more gpm the better. More so than pressure.

I purchased a Simpson 2700 last week. Put it together today. The handle would not line up with the holes, wheel fell off because they didn"t put a cotter pin on and I am missing 1 of the spray nozzles. I hope it runs better than their quality control appears to be..

This. PSI means very, very little when you reach basically any level that a pressure washer will put out. The more GPM, the better the machine will perform.

What will the pressure washer be used for mainly?

I have owned quite a few, mostly bigger machines.

GPM moves heavy stuff like thick mud, caked on mud, piles of leaves on driveway ect.

This one has served me well for 4+ years of frequent use. Not a single issue with the exception of replacing the spray tips.

I have heard the best ones have the actual pump on the front, but I have never seen one like that. Can anyone elaborate on those type of pressure washer. Also mine says if the motor is running to be spraying water which I do. Do they make any you can safely stop spraying and not burn the pump up?

My old one had a front oil filled pump it lasted 15 years till the seal blew and oil mixed with water destroying the pump, I have two Ryobi washers now with Honda engines I gotta say the pumps are cheapo one capped out a few years old. I want to say they are 2900 psi pumps.

I bought a Ryobi with a Honda engine about five years ago and it has served me very well. It was less expensive than most of the others but has been a great machine.
