    Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 3 or Garmin 94sv UHD???

    Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 3 or Garmin 9sv UHD???


    I can get either for the same price...

    I will tell you who has owned both a Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 3 and switched to a Garmin Echomap Ultra 122, that the Garmin is so much easier to use. At least for me that is what I found.

    Tough call as i like my Garmin, but with Lowrance you can make your own aerial images to use in the units for mapping.....i know Garmin uses the pre-loaded cards but not sure how they compare to making your own.

    When i sold all my Lowrance stuff, i kept my Gen 2 10" just to use with aerial mapping on some of the lakes i fish.....i wish Garmin would allow you to make aerial maps for their units.

    I’m going to have to looking into this aerial mapping. Quite intriguing.
