Used to go to Patoka/Geist but that is the past. Are there any decent lakes in the withing 2-3 hours on Indiana with surface grass that are decent?

I was just over at Waveland this weekend to visit my parents. My parents have lived their prior to me being born in 1980..
This is the most amount of weeds my dad can remember seeing since the early 80's. Most amount I've ever seen, that is for certain.
Now with that being said.. I don't have a boat to fish out of, so I have no clue if the froggin is any good.
Mill Creek in Illinois used to have a bunch of grass.

Patoka has zero grass. Matter of fact it less than zero. Lol. I’m not sure if we’ll ever have grass there again.

Boggs is going to spray tomorrow for algae and weeds.
Palestine is where I’d go if i wanted to spend day with a frog.

Thanks.
Mill Creek does have a ton of grass, but a $30 a day launch fee will tend to steer most people away
No. You can launch and immediately start fishing. You can also fish St Clair the same way. Launch at Metro and hit the canals. You can frog all day back in the Metro canals and never even go out to the big lake. Like mentioned above. Great numbers with the occasional 4+ mixed in.
