record sonar log data on Carbon

looking for advice on recording my 2d and structure scan to review later.
i have hds carbon 9
should i pick .sl2 for file extension.
anyone know if i can send this .sl2 file to others to review on iPhone,or will it only be viewable on a another lowrance display,like a hds gen 2 or gen 3?

SLG - 2D
SL2 - 2D and Sidescan/ Downscan (if you have a structurescan-transdcuer)
SL3 - 2D, Sidescan/ Downscan and 3D (if you have Structurescan 3D module and transdcuer)

I don`t know of any app that allows you to review your sonarlogs on a smartphone. As you mention they can be payed back on a unit, or you can use a PC with software like Reefmaster:

i have Sidescan/Downscan and 3d with SS 3D module and Transducer..
Question? if i put all on one screen (2d,3D,SS,and Downscan) would that be too cluttered on a Carbon 9?
or if i record log sonar on all will it record all even though i only have one sonar(2D) on the screen?

Does not matter whats showing on the screen as long as the transducer is running

thanks bill and team.
i put 2d,ds,ss,and3d on same screen, hit record from overlay menu.
then stopped recording by going back to overlay, hit stop.
now to view it looks like i can only view one sonar mode at a time,,not all 4 at one time.
is that how it should be?
when i go to settings/simulate/sonar file name/ is that the proper sequence.
or i see that under settings/storage/there is a sonar logs logo at top of screens that where i should go?
