UFP DB35 caliper bolt removal/install tip

I’ve done all 4 of my hubs a few years ago when I converted them from oil to grease. I had a little grease coming out of one of the seals and decided to remove the hub yesterday and finish it up today. The bottom caliper allen head bolt was always a pain getting out, back in and torque to spec. In preparation, I picked up an impact wobble extension set and an impact joint socket adapter set. I used the short wobble extension and 1/2” drive adapter with my Milwaukee mid-torque impact wrench and was able to get the bottom bolt in and out way easier than any other method I’ve tried in the past.

I was able to torque the bolt it to 55 foot pounds with the 3/8” adapter and a 3/8” Kobalt torque wrench.

Thank you for sharing We all know how “simple” jobs turn into headaches with just one wrong tool situation. Again thank you.
