    Both has there place. When I don’t get home till 630 it’s nice to just fire the gas grill up quick and grill something. If I have time I’ll use charcoal.

    I think so too. I'll use the briquettes for things like hamburgers, hot dogs, carne asada and the lump for everything else.

    I have gas piped to the outdoor kitchen...everybody’s plates are empty and steaks are knawed down to the bone.

    I use both. Gas gets used for quick meals but when it comes time to cook properly the charcoal gets used. Steaks are fine on the gasser but anything that needs to roast over a longer time the charcoal is far superior.
