I have a Basscat Puma with factory installed power poles. What is the best way to change the fluid?

unhook the lines on the poles. use the pump to pump out what you can into empty 2 litre bottles and then clean out the reservoir with rags and fill them back up. But why do you think you need to change the fluid
Change to keep the fluid from gumming up over time. I have been told his will happen.
Trust me, it will gum up if you don’t change it once in awhile

The biodegradable fluid will absolutely clog up the pump screens if left in too long. Good advice above on changing.

I don't use the bio stuff, I use auto trans fluid
Any (AW ISO 32 hydraulic fluid) will work, and wont gum up so fast.

Here at BBC they have a discussion board for shallow water anchors. There is a couple of people on that forum daily (KnK and Hydrilla Gear) that have a vast wealth of knowledge about power poles. I would ask my question there...http://www.bbcboards.net/forumdisplay.php?f=212
Best to take the pump/reservoir out. Remove pump from tank and clean tank from all the trash, and water build up. This will cause erratic motion/no motion on your poles. So will low fluid. This fluid is similar to brake fluid as it will draw in moisture. Should be a 3 to 4 year Maintance item. Utube the video of cleaning the tanks.

Only use the Biodegradable fluid ISO-32 Green Marine. Your in the water, broken fittings and hoses happen. Don't pollute the water ways.

Thanks for all the help. This is going to be a job to get the pump/reservoir out the way it was installed.
