Ultrex shutting down

I sometimes fish small lakes that are 10 HP or under so ots trolling motor only.The last couple times I've headed down the lake with navigation on and in full speed the motor has shut off.POwer is still on no breaker tripped it just quits but will start right back up. Some days it doesn't do it.

Many motors have a low voltage detector that turns the motor off to protect the battery if the voltage is getting too low. This will happen when running full speed which is drawing the battery voltage low. Once the load is removed the battery voltage recovers and it restarts although some remain locked out until you turn the motor off and back on. Bad connections, inadequate wire gauge and an ageing battery will result in higher voltage drop and make this more prevalent.

OK thanks,I'll check all connections. Batteries were full charge at start and they are only a couple years old.
