Can only speak for 20’ Tritons. But with both 2013 and 2018 TRX20’s, all you have to do is to unscrew the two large knobs on the passenger side of the cockpit, and install the new console. Install the new console and replace the same two knobs you unscrewed from the plate, and lastly lock the console in with the key provided. You’re good to go in less than 3 minutes!
Yes nice to have ... my came with one .. but don’t use it .. takes up a lot off floor space ..

Not sure if your boat came with it, but there is a delrin plate that mounts to the inside side of the boat. The passenger console rests and locks to that plate. My 18XS did not have that installed. Dealer needed to install that for the passenger console to work.

My boat does not have that plate, so I'm guessing it will need to be installed at the dealer? I'll probably only use it in the winter months anyway.
Maybe call Triton. See if they'll send you instructions on how to mount that plate. I had the dealer do it. Just in case it was messed up then I wasn't liable.
I only use the console if my wife is going with, or my fishing partner requests it.
It's still a good option to have if you ever sell the boat.
Good point! Thats my thought, wouldn't hurt, might be a good selling point if I ever decided to sell and get a bigger Triton. Thanks for your input.

what color console do u have???
I picked up my new console from dealer today and the mounting plate for the portside came with the console. Will need to drill 4 holes for the side plate and two under console for the knobs.
