    2003 Procraft 200 setup

New to the Procraft family and want to check and see if it is set up correctly. It has a Mercury 200 XS with a Tempest Plus 23P, 10" jack plate and is set at 3 1/4" below pad. I have dual power poles, one group 31 starting battery and two group 29 deep cycle trolling motor batteries. I took it to the lake yesterday for the first time and it seemed slow getting on plane. Only ran it up to 41mph and was at 5100 rpm. I this about right for this boat and setup?

Seems like you are running a lot of RPM for 41MPH. Is that from the speedo or GPS.

    It's from the GPS.

Looks to me like you don't have enough prop. I would expect a 24 Tempest + at least on that setup and I run a 25 Tempest plus on my 192 Super Pro, but I am no expert.

No. something isn't right. I'm no expert either but my old ProCraft runs mid 60s loaded at 5600 RPM with a 225. Try a different propeller. I'm very happy with a 25 pitch 3 blade Fury. Best of luck

Top speed was 41 and you were already 5100rpms? You need probably a 25 pitch. The slow out of the hole, could be prop vents not the right opening size, allowing too much slippage.

I agree you should run a tempest 25. I previously owned a 2003 superpro 200 with a200hp optimax. At 5500 rpm was at 70 on gps.
    2019 nitro z19 with mercury 4 stroke 200hp.
