How have you guys done it? Anyone have any pics of their setup? Also, on a Ranger RT178 are the 2 switches in the battery compartment breakers? I had a buddy who owns a Skeeter tell me that each battery should have it's own breaker. New to all of this electrical stuff on a boat. Thanks
I have bluewater led strips on the deck and compartments of my 178. I will try to get pics next time I have the cover off this weekend. As far as the breakers, one is for the trolling motor and the other is for all the other accessories on the starting battery.
I've run cheap led strip lights under the gunnels for 3 years now. Cost $7 a side from Amazon. Just used power from the blank switch on the switch panel and grounded at the terminal block under the pedal tray. The switch is fused in the factory panel and the leds draw so little current. However, I've now got the neon rope lights coming to replace the led strips. They are one continuous line of light versus individual little spots like the led rope lights.
