    Question For Wayne

    HI! I cannot get my personal info to display on the splash screen at startup. Worked fine on my 1198 but not working on My Helix 12. I tried deleting the old profile file and created a new one using HBPC 4.6.1 but still no go. Don't think anyone would return the unit anyway if found but ya never know. Any ideas for me to try? Thanks!

    Just noticed I put this in the wrong forum and don't know how to move it!)

    I saw that and thats what made me try it. Still can't get it to work on mine for some reason. Tried redoing the file, different card etc. If I put that card in my 1198 it pops right up

    I used HBPC to create the profile then copied it to my card and put it in the unit. I actually changed the text to see if it would work (and update) in my 1198 and it worked fine. Getting nothing with either card on the 12

    Something is missing.

    You edit the Profile folder on the memory card that the unit creates on the card when in the unit using HBPC. After filling in the blanks you SAVE, then remove the card from your computer than put it in the unit.

    Correct. If I take the card out of the unit and put it back on the puter I can read the profile text in the file and its all good. Just not making any sense to me why it wont work. Its not a big deal really but now has me curious

    Had me stumped which isn't hard to do...LOL I even swapped cards between a Helix 12 G1 and 998 and it worked but glad you got it working.
